Our Story

A Premier Centre of Excellence in Pharmaceutical Education

GRY Institute of Pharmacy (GRYIP), Borawan, is established under the Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust (JNCET) in 2001 with the aim of promoting education, research, innovation, training, and entrepreneurship in pharmaceutical sciences.

GRYIP is a unique centre of excellence for Pharmaceutical Education and Research offering D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm Pharmaceutics and M.Pharm - Pharmaceutical Chemistry programmes. The Institute is the first private pharmacy institute in Madhya Pradesh to be accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade (CGPA 2.97) and the first to achieve UGC Autonomous status.

The programmes are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, and are affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. The Institute is spread across a 5 acre campus in the Narmada Valley region, equipped with state-of-the art infrastructure and modern facilities.

About the Trust

Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust

The Jawaharlal Nehru Charitable Educational Trust (JNCET), established in 1996, was founded with the mission of providing quality education in rural and semi-urban areas of Madhya Pradesh. Under the aegis of the Trust, GRY Institute of Pharmacy (GRYIP) was established in Borawan, Khargone district, in 2001, with the aim of making quality pharmaceutical education accessible to students from the Nimar region and beyond.

The Trust has played a pivotal role in developing one of the well-equipped pharmacy institutes in Central India, with a continued focus on infrastructure development, faculty advancement, and student welfare programmes.

Through his relentless efforts, unwavering commitment, and significant contributions, he has made a lasting impact at the state, national, and international levels, particularly in transforming lives through community care and education. As a progressive leader driven by missionary zeal and a firm commitment to social and educational advancement, he has played a pioneering role in the growth of JNCET across the fields of Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, Education, and Research.

The pharmacy profession has evolved significantly from conventional practices to a technology-driven and research-oriented pharmaceutical discipline. In the era of globalization, pharmaceutical institutions must continuously adapt to emerging technologies, with greater emphasis on Information Technology (IT), research and development (R&D), innovation, and industry-oriented education to enhance the quality of pharmaceutical services. At GRY Institute of Pharmacy (GRYIP) , we are committed to nurturing students into competent, skilled, ethical, and socially responsible pharmacy professionals who are prepared to excel in their chosen fields.

Spread across a 5-acre campus , the Institute offers a well-developed academic and learning environment supported by modern infrastructure and facilities. These include smart classrooms equipped with audio-visual aids, well-equipped laboratories, a computer centre, Wi-Fi-enabled campus facilities, and a rich library housing nearly 11,000 books, 26 national and international journals, and a wide range of e-journals . The Institute also provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls and a spacious playground to support the overall development and well-being of students.
